From Space to Physical

I been completely absorbed in making clothes these last few weeks im my little cave.
In case i haven't mentioned Wildsuga (www.wildsuga.com) is my Fashion /art project, handmade Label, self exploration, Passion alongside other arts like music, graphics blah blahh lol....you know the flex, we humans are versatile in many pies!

It's funny how completely self absorbed translating from a mental-spiritual space to physical can be also a massive journey of self discovery. The time spent on visualizing but also allowing something to almost guide you and surprise you can be...How accidents become purposeful and how your original intentions are nothing like you imagined yet still completely valid and organic.

Im in love with the act of making something. The hands which cut, pin, sew, measure and so fourth.
I was and am still not great at maths but calculations in fashion in estimating and guessing seem to make sense! lol its all about making parts fit like a puzzle (i guess that is maths)!

Isn't that an interesting process....... I often think how powerful it is to make something from an idea.
One of my challenges is making something from something most may not notice or think to use an recycle, like an old sheet , or pair of dusty floral/patterned curtains lol... i spend a bit of time contemplating vintage shapes and how i could imagine a nomadic traveler wearing a garment which flowed, was feminine, had a statement of colour yet wasn't too bold but still says i am strong and i can survive. Oh the life i believe is us.

The clothing i make is almost strange and out of place in this city but makes sense in the desert or forest or wilderness, i think im in the sand whilst im making, i think i can feel the sun though its freezing outside in this London winter.....

I guess this post is reflective of how our imagination can take us on a journey and how precious that moment can be to tune into!

The moment of simply loving the act , being fascinated by the ability & the gift can be enough - no matter what it is we choose to do in our lives. A sense of Focus.

its the act of using a gift and thanking the creator within, without, our hands whatever you believe and enjoying the moment to the fullest......

I guess the next chapter is seeing the garms on a model and being captured by photos :).....meet you on the journey......
