They seem to be either hand painted directly on the walls of African (i believe Ghana / Gambia- but will look into this more) barbershops and hair salons or hung up. The bold flat colour , bold outlines and fonts are sooo excellent. I also love the weird shaped heads and various views of the hair styles.
Right at this present moment....I think these win over a photograph of a hairstyle!!
